These are lightweight, durable and reliable. We have to move around a lot of hay and other equipment as well as deal with animals, dirt, filth and every environment from hot summers to wet winters. These are great for a everything. Loose enough to add thermals under, pockets for everything and the stretch butt let's us move without adjusting. The fit is such that we never have our crack hang out.I don't bother with the women's fire my gf because no one has a clue what the numbers mean. Using the men's, we get a great fit that looks good enough for work or casual social events. Yes these do show off your butt if you have it.I don't know how they can be better to be honest. For the price, fit and pockets, these are a great deal. No velcro bs. Great zippers, stretch and function.Get these for everyone. They'll replace jeans.these pants are the best total unrestrictive movement. fit is excellent. last long too.It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it.Construction: Built solid, like a pair of Dickey's dress pants. Similar white pocket design as well (pocket made using white fabric). There were a few loose strings when I got it, but nothing out of the ordinary for new clothes. A pair of nail clippers and a couple minutes resolved this.Fit: Fits exactly as expected. I ordered a 32-32, same size I wear for my Levi's Jeans, and this left enough material over my boots to be able to blouse them. If you intend to blouse them and you're unsure, going with a size up on the leg length would not be a bad idea, though it worked out well for me just going with my normal size. If you do not wish to blouse them, the end of the legs are hemmed. For what it's worth, I use the US Army-style boot blousers, which are .5 cm braided elastic bands with a hook on either end.Pockets: You will never run out on these! There are two phone pockets, each next to the two "hand pockets", towards the inside. I use one for my wallet and the other for my Galaxy S10. There is room to spare in these pockets, so I suspect the iPhone would fit as well, though I don't have an iPhone to test this with. The depth is perfect, leaving me no concern about the phone falling out, and the positioning of the pockets does not press on the phone at all. You will have to lean back a bit or stand up to get the phone out of your pocket when sitting, which gives it a little extra security. The hand pockets are roomy and will very easily fit your hands, even larger hands or hands wearing gloves. The leg pockets each have a utility blade holder, though you could fit other small objects here too. This is attached to the front of the large zipper pocket, which has two smaller pockets on the inside. I store my gloves on one leg and a watch cap on the other during winter so I don't forget them on cold days. The back pockets are just as roomy as you would find in a pair of Dickey's dress pants and do well to hold fatter wallets exactly as you'd expect.Inserts: Some people have complained about the opening of the insert pocket being on the bottom so as to allow the insert to fall out, though I believe this is the wrong "pocket." There is a kneepad insert panel in the knee as described, which holds a pocket that is square at the top and tapered at the bottom. I used some .5" foam squares, the kind you place on the ground, and made my own knee pads. Some rolling was required to get them into the hole, but they stay in very nicely. The point of the confusion is that this panel is only sewn in on three sides - the top and either side, but not at the bottom. This allows this panel to move somewhat independently of the pants and I don't recommend trying to put a pad in there and seal it off.Belt loops: These are nice and wide, allowing for all manner of belts. I personally use a nylon belt from which I hang a radio and some other equipment.I have several pairs of LAPG Atlas tactical pants and wear them at work daily. They are well constructed out of heavy material and fit true to size.These pants are durable, light and great for physical outside work. They are surprisingly resistant to dirt and spills. Pockets could be better located for me but no other pants offer that either. Definitely worth the money.I’m a huge fan of L.A Police gear and these pants are another reason why. They definitely deserve 5-stars if for no other reason than the excellent price per feature ratio.I literally wore out my previous two pairs of cargo style pants, (ExOfficio and Columbia), which I wore almost daily for five~ years.I started wearing these LAPG pants on 1/31/2019, and I suspect that their Achilles’ heel will be in the thinner seat material as it’s less robust than the rip-stop material in the rest of the pant.The proof will be in the pudding, and here’s my 2-cents worth;1. The Bad; The factory had not crimped the rivet button, and it promptly fell off when I took the pants out of the bag! …Was lucky because I had the perfect replacement button (see photo), which I trust more than a rivet. …didn’t want to waste time and effort doing a return.2. Love the really deep pockets, including the two bellowed pockets. …Regarding bellowed pockets, beware if catching the bellow on, say, a kitchen cabinet pull like I did, which ripped out part of a seam.3. Love that the bellowed pockets use zippers instead of Velcro! …Velcro on cargo pants/shorts is problematic for several reasons.4. Besides the un-riveted button issue, there was really just one other not so great quality issue in the sewing of a lap seam. (See photo.) …It also took me 15 minutes to remove all the loose threads clinging everywhere. …a seam ripper was really helpful.5. Speaking of loose threads, the zipper pulls were already fraying, and it would be nice if the ends had been completely sewn.However, I may cut these off, as they’re a bit of a distraction when I walk, and I feel like they draw attention to the pants. I don’t like any froufrou, stealth all the way!6. Further to my point above, the two accessory loops look a little odd and call attention to the pants. …I could have done without these, but someone else may find them superbly useful.7. Regarding many customer comments, sizing does run a little small, so I’m glad I bought a 34, instead of my usual 32/33.8. I bought a 30" length (I'm 5' 10") and the pants fit perfectly.Mine are 32. They fit 32 tight and the elastic isn’t really giving a comfortable fit.Around the hip they are very loose witch gives a baggy look.From the knees down, the boot cut is too large and slack. The in seems are fold& sown in a way that prononce the bad boot cut.It look like a clown pants. I didn’t return them because the fabric is good.I will not buy or recommend.
